One of the Top Accelerated Nursing Programs in SC
The 15-month-long, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) trains adults with 59 hours of previous college credit-or bachelor’s degrees in fields other than nursing-to to become registered nurses (RNs). It will prepare you to work in pediatric, surgical, adult, geriatric, and other fields of nursing. It also makes you eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), which you must pass to become an RN. As an RN, you can work in hospitals, hospices, homes, nursing homes, workplaces, schools, medical missions, the military, and other medical settings.
While nurses are in high demand, the Institute of Medicine offers the public additional guidance: increase the proportion of nurses with bachelor’s degrees from 50 percent to 80 percent by 2020. A BSN from Anderson will help you enter the workforce with an edge: it will launch your career, open doors to leadership and management positions, and qualify you for graduate-level training in nursing and healthcare.
